Grimsargh Village return to action this weekend as they take on Leyland Albion for the first time, with the unknown opposition providing a fresh challenge for the squad. After a run of difficult fixtures and reduced numbers in recent weeks, the focus will be on getting players available, working together as a team and putting in a strong, organised performance.
Despite recent results, there have been plenty of positives to take, particularly the effort, attitude and spirit shown by those who continue to turn up and give everything for the team. That commitment will be key going into this game, especially against an opponent they haven’t faced before.
Grimsargh will be looking to improve their shape and concentration, while continuing to build confidence on the ball and support each other across the pitch. If they can do that and field a stronger squad, they’ll give themselves every chance of making it a competitive game.
It’s a new test, a new opponent, and another opportunity for the lads to show what they’re capable of.
